Happy Halloween! Salem, Oregon Child Photography

Happy Halloween!  Just for fun I’m sharing some photos I took of my kids wearing their Halloween costumes a week or two ago.  My daughter is Pink Batgirl and my son is Spiderman so we definitely have a super hero theme going on.  I didn’t pose my kids for these, just asked them to show me what Batgirl and Spiderman look like and this is what I got.  We’re working on getting Spiderman’s web throwing finger position down for tonight…it’s a work in progress.  Themed photo shoots are a ton of fun, especially when they involved costumes and a little imagination!

Sweet Baby Mia: Salem, OR Newborn Photographer

My good friend gave birth to her third baby girl and so of course I had her over to spend some time meeting and photographing little Mia!  She is a delight, absolutely perfect and has two adoring big sisters.  Usually I have expecting parents book their session with me and I leave space in my calender around their due date so when they call to let me know their baby has arrived I can fit them in.  Since she was a planned c section baby it was easy to schedule our time together in advance which was handy!

Fabulous Fall: Family Photographer Salem, OR

We hit the jackpot with two happy girls and a beautiful evening which resulted in some beautiful family portraits!  We had a great time playing around in my favorite local field and even spent some time inspecting a grasshopper that joined us for a bit.  I had a lot of fun with this session and can’t wait to share them all with this happy family!

Fall Family Portraits: Salem, OR Family Photographer

It’s the peak time of year for fall family portraits, however this year the fall color seems to be a little late in coming!  Of course a lack of colorful leaves is easily overcome with a bunch of colorful scarves as this family of five demonstrates very nicely.  Family sessions with young children tend to be shorter due to limited attention spans, but we managed to fit in two locations in about one hour.  That’s one of the perks to living in a small town!

Red Headed Beauty: Salem, Oregon Newborn Photographer

I am always excited for newborn photo sessions but when I arrived to find a gorgeous red headed baby girl I think I died and went to heaven.  Such beautiful red hair!  I think I’m jealous.  Melia is a beautiful baby and our session together was a lot of fun and I love many of the images from this session.  Let’s here it for the red heads!
