January 9th: Grace’s friend Samantha spent the night tonight and the girls were playing on the iPad together.
January 10th: We spent the afternoon and evening at McMenamin’s Kennedy School in Portland celebrating Tolkien’s birthday by watching The Two Towers in the movie theater and following it up with dinner. My hard apple cider, ketchup, crayons, a candle, and Ethan’s apple cider with a straw spells out a romantic dinner for four!
January 11th: Our poor old dog spends the majority of her days lounging on as many pillows on the couch as she can manage.
January 12th: While we aren’t affiliated with either major Oregon school for football we tend to side with the Beavers. We did root for the Ducks despite their loss, I think this photo sums up how the game went!
January 13th: The sun came out this afternoon so I toured the yard with my camera and spotted this little bit of color in the winter gloom.
January 14th: Today was my lucky day! I had this exact pair of rain boots on my Christmas Wish List and while I didn’t get them for Christmas I happened to find them brand new with the tags still attached in my size at the local Goodwill. Totally made my day!
January 15th: Today I decided to take a self portrait using my new tripod. I hauled it outside on the patio and tried to ignore my husband making faces at me from the sliding glass door and used my nifty trigger on my phone I got for Christmas. Selfies are hard, especially when you wear glasses!
January 16th: Ethan learned how to make fruit salads about a year ago and loves to make himself one for a snack. I caught him making one with applesand clementines this time!
January 17th: David gave me tickets to Dirty Dancing for Christmas and tonight was the night we went! The music and dancing were fabulous, definitely a good time 🙂
January 18th: Grace had another sleepover with a friend tonight so David and I watched a movie in our bedroom while the girls watched a movie in the living room. I took this with only the light of the tv and iPad.
January 19th: I finally broke down and bought some new lighting equipment and it arrived today! I immediately figured it out and tried it out with my daughter (my most impossible subject!) and really love the light it puts out. Now I can’t wait to try it out on a baby!
