man at kitchen table

April 24: David preparing to host DnD at our house for guys night.feet

April 25: Envious of David’s two functional feet!  Especially after a long day in the car and my grandmother’s funeral on crutches.macro of pearl necklace

April 26: A closeup of my grandmother’s pearl necklace my grandfather gave me at the funeral yesterday.apple watch

April 27: My Apple watch…came just before I left with my Mom for the funeral last Friday and is lots of fun!feet with socks

April 28: My boring view from the recliner.  Making use of the hospital grippy socks though!girl reading on couch

April 29: Gracie reading some Dork Diaries to me while I listen on the couch before bedtime.shower

April 30: Getting good use out of the shower chair our neighbor’s lent me and also the Ikea shelf Grace and I picked up on a whim a few months ago.  Handy since it now holds a lot of my personal hygiene items since I’ve basically moved into the kids’ bathroom!cat in window

May 1: Dexter wishing he was playing outside.  Me too.flowers

May 2: Grace and her friends picked me flowers and presented me with them in a makeshift vase complete with a Get Well card.  Such thoughtful girls!pear in dramatic lighting

May 3: Dramatic morning window light and my much photographed fake pear.

scar

May 4: Spent some time with my macro lens and attempted to photograph my scar this morning.  Tough to get a decent angle since it’s on the outside of my leg!

cat at night

May 5: Dexter enjoying some late night tv next to me on the couch.pancakes

May 6: The boys were at a baseball game so it was just Grace and I at home for dinner tonight so she decided to make pancakes.  She rarely shows any interest in cooking so I was more than happy to supervise her from the kitchen table while she attempted to flip pancakes.  She did pretty good for her first try!orthopedic boot

May 7: I haven’t photographed my big black boot much since it’s not very pretty or interesting.  It’s big, black, and ugly.  It does, however, come off which is a very redeeming quality.

man in kitchen

May 8: My sweetie multi-tasking, wiping down the kitchen table while toasting me a bagel for lunch and on a work phone call at the same time.  He’s a hard worker and I’m so grateful for him!boys on couch

May 9: Ethan and is friend curled up on the couch watching an old Royal Rumble (wrestling stuff) with their dads after an impromptu barbecue.  The girls opted to watch a movie with the projector in the garage instead.sunglasses

May 10: I feel like it’s been Mothers Day for the past 8 weeks thanks to my injury so we didn’t do too much to celebrate.  David and the kids did clean and fold 7 loads of laundry and then took me out for a fajita burrito and a margarita at our favorite Mexican restaurant in town which was a nice treat though!rose

May 11: I’ve had flowers constantly the past 8 weeks but the white roses for Mothers Day are very pretty with morning light.

kids on iPad

May 12: As soon as homework is done and their chores are done my kids can be found glued to the iPad and Nintendo DS.  I think it’s pretty cute they prefer to play next to each other though!fur

May 13: I know there’s been a lot of cat photos lately but since I hang out on the couch or recliner all day our cat has taken full advantage of my lap!  I used my macro for this nighttime shot of his fur.

window with clock

May  14: Such a pretty day outside and I’m stuck indoors yet again.  David’s alarm clock is very appropriate, I feel like time is standing still for me while it zips by for everyone else!  Some days are harder then others to keep positive.
