Welcome! I am a baby and children’s photographer who offers both studio and on location sessions. My studio is located in Salem, Oregon but I am happy to travel up to 60 miles which includes the greater Portland area. (Wilsonville, Lake Oswego, Newberg, McMinnville, Sherwood, Tigard, Tualatin, Canby, Oregon City, West Linn, etc)
My style of children’s photography is simple and clean. I prefer to have the focus be on your child to showcase their personality and what makes them special. I have plenty of experience working with babies and young children and know that the toddler years (especially ages 2-3!) can be a difficult age. I have found that outdoor sessions with these ages are much better and gives your child more freedom in movement and they are less distracted and bored by “looking at the camera”. I like to have fun with them and will often play for a bit so they warm up to me. Please don’t stress if you feel like your child is being uncooperative, I work quick and often catch great expressions that you didn’t realize I even saw!
My studio is set up to primarily photograph babies under 12 months. I have a growing collection of sitter sized outfits (6-12months) for both boys and girls. There are a few simple backgrounds to choose from and I love personalizing your session. Let me know if you have a theme or idea and I’m happy to work with it! I also offer Baby Milestone Sessions at my studio once a month. These sessions are 30 minutes and are ideal for capturing babies between 2-12 months.
