Meet Baby Michael: Corvallis-Salem-Portland Newborn Photographers

When Michael’s Mom asked if I could incorporate a navy shawl her husband had knitted into Michael’s newborn session I was MORE than happy to oblige. I knit quite a few of my own props and love that we could use something they made as well! Michael was a good sleeper for me until he woke up to eat about halfway through his session. Once he was awake he was fine as long as I had him in a good swaddle. He did throw me some pretty funny looks, but catching funny faces is one of my favorite things to do during newborn sessions!

Baby Brayden 8 Months: Portland-Salem-Happy Valley Baby Photographer

The last time I saw Brayden he was a super smiley baby at his newborn photo session. This time around he’s a big 8 month old baby boy who still has a great smile but now he makes me work for it! We did some family photos outdoors at Scouters Mountain before heading back to his house for some studio photos. I think he was a bit happier to be in the warm house after being outside in the chilly air!

I have a few sitter sized outfits on hand which I brought and he looked pretty adorable in the brown overalls. I also brought a plain white diaper cover which we used for a few shots and I’m glad we used it. I can’t wait to see this little guy again as he grows, he’s going to be a heart breaker!

Winter Family Session: Salem-Portland-Lake Oswego Family Photos

I met up with this fun family on a cold but sunny morning at Silver Creek Falls. We took advantage of the frosty grass first thing and I’m so glad we did! We played some games and found several great wintery landscapes before settling at the lodge and finally enjoying some hot cocoa. I think I may need to find a way to end every family photo session with hot cocoa to both warm and perk everyone up!

Holiday Mini Sessions: Salem-Portland-Corvallis Family Photographer

This year I once again returned to Dallas to do Holiday Mini Sessions at my favorite Christmas Tree Farm! It was a foggy overcast day this year but luckily not super cold or muddy. We’ll take what we can get in November! My son was my assistant this time around, he did a pretty good job greeting everyone and helping with paperwork. With his help I photographed 7 families in two hours which is pretty good!

I always enjoy Mini Sessions and this time was no exception. I love seeing the same families year after year and meeting a few new ones. 15 minutes may not seem like a lot of time but I get a lot done in that time frame! If you’re interested in Mini Sessions be sure to sign up for my Newsletter List because that’s where I announce Mini Session information first. If I have any open time slots I will post them on my Facebook page.

Fall Mini Sessions Round Three: Portland-Wilsonville-Salem Family Photos

In an attempt to accommodate some of Portland clients I decided to do a round of Fall Mini Sessions in Wilsonville at Memorial Park. Of course it seems like no matter where I hold Mini Sessions I wind up with clients traveling to me which is always humbling. I have clients from all areas of Portland, Salem, Corvallis, and even some in Bend! Most of my Mini Session clients were returning families I’ve worked with before so even without an assistant with me things went smoothly. After doing so many Mini Sessions over the years I definitely feel like I’ve got them down to a science and really enjoy doing them!

I will definitely try to hold more Mini Sessions in the Portland area again next year, if you’re interested in booking one be sure to join my Newsletter List. If I have any open time slots after that I post them on my Facebook page.
